Radiate, Transpire

A few pics of us from Betty's the other night. Great show. Fun times had by everyone. The Spooks and Far-out Fangtooth were great. We wish them well and safe travels. Just to give you a taste of what is in-store for us this year. We hope to be up their way, Philadelphia, later this year. More on that soon. Cody also blasted us with a few of his great songs. That dude needs to be recording and putting something out.(All Photos by Sarah McDonald)

Blazing Saddles and Sonic Booms

Got us another show on the horizon. Should be a barn burner. Couple of hot-rods from Phillie passing through on their way to SXSW. The Spooks and Far-Out Fangtooth will grace this fare city with us and local mad-scientist Cody Gaisser. If you all ain't familiar with Cody. All you gotta think of is Here Come The Warm-Jets era Eno meets Ash Ra Tempel. If that ain't boner giving material enough for you. Then you better consider getting that little blue pill prescription filled. Yeah, I'm talking to you limpy! All this is going down on March 12th at Betty's Bar and Grill. Come out and join yours-truely for a bunch of Pete Kimber worship and stay for all the rock n' roll.

We will be back Jacksonville!

We had a great time in Jacksonville, FL. Emily and Sterling were sooooo good to us. Underbelly is this little speakeasy and courtyard in the back of a boutique called Anomaly. Emily runs Anomaly and along with her friend Sterling they run Underbelly. It is a really fantastic space and they treated us very well. They asked us back and we will be going back for sure. Thanks you guys. It was wonderful.

Well, Chattanooga was a wash!

Marty and I are sitting in a Best Western outside Atlanta right now. We can honestly say the show in Chattanooga sucked! The local band never showed and we played really great, even a couple of new songs, to about 5 people who wandered in from the bar. It was like playing to all the local drunks at Springwater. Marty said we could have done that at home. Jeez! Jacksonville, we hope, will be a lot better. I guess we just need to be grateful we had show. Right?

Got us a fair review...

We got us a fair review by the guy that does Dusted Magazine's "Still Single". Here is the link and what Doug had to say: STILL SINGLE
Plodding Southern guitar/drums duo, going for some sort of big serious sound in a compact lineup – turns out this is what happened to Heathern Haints, who were also pretty interesting. Singer guy sounds like Michael Stipe, they get some big sounds and seem to will back slower music as it existed in the early ‘90s – maybe not Codeine or Idaho slow, but introspective in its volume and careful in its presentation. Definitely on the indie rock spectrum, and a fair release; this band sounds like they have the stuff to improve, and they can only do so as their confidence and skills ramp up. Nice looking record either way – yellow vinyl, two-colored silkscreen flat for the cover.

Record Release

The Record Release was so much fun last night. We saw a lot of old friends and had a blast. It was a good end to the two weeks we've had on the road and playing all these shows. We hope we peeled some skulls back. All pictures above were taken by Sarah McDonald. Thanks so much.
