Whoa!!

We made a year end list! Pretty great in our humble opinion. The dudes over on Styrofoam Drone were ever so kind to include us in their TOP 10 eps/cassettes of 2012. We came in at number 2 on the list. Damn Awesome!

Xmas comes early!

We have us a new track on this here 7" out on Sonic Cathedral . Sonic Boom mastered all the tracks. Almost had a fanboy moment there. Electrick Gypsy Service Sessions

Had us a great time in NYC this past week. Even though our show fell through. Thanks to everyone that tried to help us out. A special thanks to our good friend Selvig way over on the left coast. That one almost came through.

We definitely didn't waste our time. Our good friend Andy Plovnick recorded us over at his Electrick Gypsy Service . We threw down 3 songs and just let 'em happen. We've been playin' these in our set for a while and it just felt natural to get 'em down on tape. All three of us thought the sessions went great. Can not wait for them to see the light of day. So, who wants 'em? Andy also has a really great band called Lead Stones . Check them out too.

Headed to Philly for our final show. Hope to see all our Philly friends out.

Records thus far...

Found these two gems in Richmond at our favorite shop Steady Sounds. Marty always has great records and always takes our money. Cause we always finds great things there. We also stopped off in Delaware at Rainbow Records. Cool guys in that place and good selection of records old and new. If you are in that neck of the words check 'em out.

Goldrush Review

Sweet review of our Goldrush Fest. set from Alt. weekly Westword. Here is what they had to say:

The duo Ttotals from Nashville provided a great example of what you can do if you're not locked into genre conventions. The core of the music included great, yet slightly weird, blues-based rock and roll -- what the band calls "outer blues," like space rock done by Greg Sage. Marty Linville triggered beats and other loops before and while playing drums (sans kick), and Brian Miles laid out gritty but paradoxically spacious guitar lines that definitely fit into an identifiably rock sound, but in a way that seemed exciting rather than worn thin by overuse.
Miles was wearing a Flying Nun Records T-shirt, so he is clearly inspired by the left-field rock and roll of all those great New Zealand bands. Mid-set, Ttotals played the spiky-psych-groovy "Over the Years" from its excellent new ten-inch Silver on Black. It was an impactful, emotive, visceral performance. Definitely recommended for anyone into the Black Angels, any of the aforementioned bands and Pink Reason. Ttotals just had that kind of raw, borderline spooky edge informed by gorgeously expansive melodies possessed by anyone making relevant rock and roll these days.
Pretty sweet, Don't you think? In other news. We will be hitting the road again this time playing the Twin Lakes Record showcase at the STPPfest in DC. Very honored to be ask by by our friend Micheal at Twin Lakes to play. We will also be playing Richmond, Wilmington, New York and Philly. More details about those dates in the coming days. Gonna be a blast and we will see all ya'll soon.

Tourcation 2012 part 1

Had a blast while on tour earlier this month. Special Thank You's go out to Miss Fuzzy Logic and Paperhaus for helping our show in D.C. come together. We had an awesome time with the Drains and Thee Lolitas. Huge Thanks to The Diamond Center, Creepoid and Canary Oh Canary for making our Richmond show the best we have ever played. Also Marty at Steady Sounds was a very good to us. Thank You for hosting our in-store. And a Thank You to Brian of Dirty Richmond for hosting our in-store as well. Fantastic weekend at MacRock. Fun was had by all. Got to hang with friends and peeled some skulls back at The Artful Dodger. Marty was seriously disappointed when he found out that you wouldn't get a Macbook while at MacRock. Fortunately Miss Fuzzy Logic talked Marty out of a rage and took some mighty fine photos of us too. Check out the rest of the pics and recap over on Fuzzy Logic. Slinging sounds at SXSW.

SXSW recap.

Hope everyone is doing well. Just got in late last night from SXSW. Had a real blast! Played a great show at Molotov(even deafened the bartender, she had her fingers in her ears). Don't think we were her kind of band. Our showcase at Casa Chapala didn't happen. Due to a soundman snafu and two bands getting into a fist fight. Then getting the whole showcase shut down. Stay tuned for pics and maybe a video.
Don't forget about our other shows coming this week. Wednesday March 21st in Memphis at the Lamplighter(w/ Diamond Center), Thursday March 22nd in Nashville at Dino's(w/ Diamond Center & Hollow Ox) and Saturday March 24th in Louisville at Harley's Mainstreet Tavern(w/ Gangly Youth & Murals).
Also in a bit of news. We got into the Macrock Festival in Harrisonburg, VA. We are playing on April 6th right before our pals Diamond Center. Gonna be a really great night. And lets keep our fingers crossed and keep good thoughts so we can go to Austin Psychfest. It would be a great thing and a nice feather in our cap.
